With this Willwriters blog, I am always imploring my readers (Happy New Year for 2009by the way) to take out a will. The rules on intestacy, dying without a will, are slightly different in Scotland compared with England and Wales. However, one main element is that a will gives you the choice on distributing your assets when you have passed on rather than following a set formula. Obviously, disputed wills can be challenged but if they are not too outrageous, they save quite a bit of bureaucracy.

It is ultra important to set up a will if living in the UK.
You don't want to pop off without a will (intestate). Having a will can enable you to
choose the distribution of your assets otherwise it can go according to a pre-agreed formula. This pre-agreed formula might not fit your wishes.

For instance, the Bristol-based The Will Writing Partnership LLP offers a personal, professional service without the use of jargon. Its services include disabled provision.
The nipper recently went to Bristol to attend the open day of the university but he did not really get a good vibe both from the city and from the academic institution.

Still recovering from the shock of Darling's PBR.
The Monday Pre Budget Report announced by UK Chancellor Alistair Darling certainly caused a few shocks. Most of the report seemed to be extensively leaked but Darling outlined a pretty gloomy future of higher tax rises and lower public spending for the future of the British economy. It is with this backdrop that I am struggling to find something positive to say about not having a will. I don't think there is anything positive. Will writers can help you plan ahead and make sure that the assets in your estate are distributed in terms of your wishes.
For instance, the Towcester-based Collective Legal Solutions does free home visits without obligation. The firm says that dying intestate leaves your loved ones in a stressful situation.

Common law partners lose out on intestacy.
It is a little known fact that if you die intestate your "common law" partner lose out on any inheritance. Whereas your wife, husband or registered civil partner can get up to £125,000 and then the estate is distributed according to a pre-set formula.

We all need a will to safeguard the future!!
I know that I keep banging on about the need to get a will drawn up in the United Kingdom. This would allow you to distribute assets according to your wishes. It will also let you safeguard the interests of your children. In the world we live in you see stepchildren fighting it out with second, third wifes etc. A carefully drawn-up will could avoid these problems.
If you live in Huddersfield then you could go for Trust Inheritance, which also offers financial planning for the various options. I have only been to Huddersfield once and had a great time.

Everyone needs a will, especially with vulnerable beneficiaries.
If you have vulnerable beneficaries such as somebody with a mental disorder, then you really need a will. This will protect their interests as well as your own.
For the Edgware area of North London there is the firm Blackford Professional Services Limited. It offers services such as document storage and inheritance tax planning.
It is imperative to avoid intestacy. A will does this and it helps the distribution of the estate.

You should update your will if circumstances change.
Wills should be updated if your circumstances change such as the birth of a child or if you are affected by divorce. It is well worth the money. You can have new beneficiaries or make donations to charities. My will is pretty bog-standard and has no bells or whistles. For the next will I think I will include a couple of
charities.
For instance, in the Dudley area there is Welcare Guardian, which offers a free home consultation.

Don't delay, get a will, avoid dying intestate.
In these troubled times I think that people, who have'nt got one, should get a will. This will prevent them dying intestate and avoid the lengthy delays in sorting out the estate. You can get willwriters for your post code on www.searchwill.co.uk

Be prepared, make a will and don't die intestate.
People should be more prepared. I would certainly recommend making a will and this would avoid the situation of dying intestate. For instance, a firm such as Attwater and Liell could help. They offer services such as mirror wills and enduring powers of attorney.
The Harlow, Essex, based firm was originally founded in 1901. The wills and probate department of Attwater and Liell is located in Loughton.

We live in turbulent times so protection is vital.
If you live in or near Brentwood, Essex, there is the firm Affinity Wills to help write a will. We live in turbulent times so protection is vital. Without a will it can take up to two years to sort out an estate. http://www.searchwill.co.uk/. Affinity Wills is a national firm and has over 40,000 satisfied clients. It says that making a will gives peace of mind now and in the future.
The London stock market has produced some sharp downward moves this week and this has affected the assets of many people in the United Kingdom. Making a will protects these assets, even if they have been diminished.
In these troubled times it is vital to have a correctly-written will. The North Devon-based West Country Wills notes that 40,000 people lose their homes every year over long-term care costs because of the lack of a correctly-written will. The firm's contact is Barry Jenkinson. West Country Wills is part of Liberty Wills Ltd of West Yorkshire. The firm offers a free home visit.

What we should do in these troubled times.
Looking at the London stock market was something not for the faint hearted. Bank stocks such as Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) were really battered. I had to lie down as a result. Declaring an interest about UK bank stocks, I have got a few
HSBC shares. (Note for editor: I have since sold the HSBC shares at a loss since I got a real case of cold feet). I hope they go up. The British government has hinted that it will take equity stakes in the banks as part of a support operation. The hint has not helped shore up share prices.
In this blog I urge readers to get a will. This is quite straightforward. For instance, if you live in Coventry you can get a will drawn up with APS Legal and Associates
(www.Aps-legal.co.uk). The firm also offers advice on areas such as inheritance tax and financial tax planning (I think).
I am reading George Elliot's Middlemarch, which is a 19 century novel based on Coventry while Brassing is Birmingham.

Don't die intestate, make a will!!
Some people are wary about making a will, not wanting to confront their own mortality. If you live in Derby then you can get a will drawn up. I have only been to Derby once, which is the home of Rolls-Royce and Derby County. The football club has had a tough time since it was relegated from the Premiership but hopefully it is on the road to recovery.

Sidlaw Estate Planners offers will services in Dundee.
I have never been to Dundee, which has two football clubs The Scottish city was well-known for industries such as jute and marmalade .
Home of Beano publisher D.C Thomson, the city also has Sidlaw Estate Planners, which offers will writing services. The intestacy rules are slightly different in Scotland rather than in England and Wales. However, it still pays to get a will.
A couple of my friends went to Dundee University and really enjoyed their time there. I harbour regrets about my college education so I was really impressed by how glowingly they talked about the place.
My old college almost brings up the rear in most higher education surveys. However, when I went there it was not too bad. We started a new course and we had a good relationship with the lecturers. It seems an awful long time ago.

Will there be anything to leave?
I know I keep on going on about the dangers of dying intestate but with Meltdown Monday yesterday will there be anything to leave to dependents? I hope equities, bonds and properties will recover. We have got limited holdings in shares but they include the hard-hit British mortgage bank Bradford and Bingley. Will this bank stock ever recover? We got them for free and the dividends were good while they lasted. (My wife has a few shares in B and B).
If you live in Bradford or nearby areas, you can set up a will with two firms on the

I think I might be making a new will soon due to a change of circumstances. The last one I have is pretty bog standard and there are no special bequests. I am going to look at the searchwill site.
I want some additions with special bequests to particular charities. I don't know how much but at least it would be something. Both Labour and Conservative will go into the next General Election with plans to raise inheritance tax. I think the Tories want a £2m exemption. There is no way I will be needing that but it would be an useful limit for a lot of people.

Something not to be put off!! Making a will.
This is something not to be put off and that is making a will. I always recommend will writers from the directory www.searchwill.co.uk.

Dear Reader, do not die intestate. The intestacy rules are slightly different in Scotland compared with England and Wales but good planning is still a must. On a more serious note I am worried that Rangers might not get a result in Lithuania. I enjoyed their
gritty UEFA Cup run last season and it would be a bit hard on their fans to fall at the first hurdle.
I now know the result and it was not a good one. Yesterday (August 31st) was back to usual with a bruising game against Celtic.

"May you live in troubled times" - Chinese curse.
It seems we are going to have a roller-coaster of a ride for the
British economy. The troubles at UK mortgage bank Bradford & Bingley
do not look pretty. It is time for people to behave responsibly. They
must get down or eliminate their financial debts. People, who have
family responsibilities, must get a will drawn up.
For instance, in County Durham firms such as Harland & Company and Sovereign Will & Probate
Services Ltd are there to help.
I picked Durham as an example because I have never visited the city
although I have seen the magnificent cathedral from the train. Also,
I was talking recently to a young lady employee of a major bank and
she was from Durham. I asked her did anyone find difficulty with her
accident (I have Geordie descent) and she did admit that she had to tone
the accent down here in the sarf.

This year Cardiff missed out on an FA Cup victory against Pompey. However, the city has grown sharply in the past few years helped by the Tiger Bay redevelopment. The Welsh National Assembly has also increased confidence. To be confident about the future,
the Searchwill.co site has contact details for people in Cardiff, if they want to sign up for a will. This will prevent the possibility of dying intestate and therefore will allow the distribution of assets according to wishes.

If you are in Cardiff, the most amazing sight is Cardiff Castle, which is a grandiose folly. The attention to detail of the workmanship is fantastic. I might try and see if the Missus is agreeable to me going down for a couple of days to the Principality's main city on the train.

Manchester United to beat Chelsea tonight?
Will Manchester United beat Chelsea tonight in the European Cup? The
bookies make Man Utd favourites in Moscow but Chelsea are very well-organised
and they have some fearsome players in Drogba and Ballack. Obviously, if the
game is too exciting (and usually they are not) then television viewers
wished they had sorted out their wills.

which unfortunately got relegated last season.

Will writers forever!! To get access to assets of a deceased person it is helpful to have a grant of probate. For this you need a will. Without one what is needed is a "grant of letters of administration" or a
grant of confirmation in Scotland.

New inheritance tax rules!!
There is talk that will writers are currently suffering because people have decided
that they do not need a will due to the increased allowance for inheritance tax in
the United Kingdom. Given the mess caused by dying intestate, whatever the inheritance tax level, you still need a will. The inheritance tax threshold is now
£600,000 and was raised by Labour Chancellor Alistair Darling to counter a proposal from the Tories.

The 2008/09 inheritance tax nil rate band is £312,000.
In the United Kingdom the 2008/09 inheritance tax nil rate band is £312,000.
There is also a need not to die intestate and to have a will in place. A local
will writer can be found on www.searchwill.co.uk. For instance, in Chester you can
go to Trust Inheritance and get a
will drawn up.

You don't want to die intestate!!
You don't want to die intestate. It is better to have a will drawn up and
then you can distribute your assets (hopefully not liabilities) as you want.
For instance, if you live in Blackburn (Lancashire) and famous for a Beatles
song, you can search http://www.searchwill.co.uk/wills/bb.html and get a will writer.
Blackburn is also famous for its Premier League team, which is doing well in football terms given the disparity between some clubs in the area of
financial firepower.

Chester based Legacy warns about the Taxman.
HM Revenue and Customs have said that they will look increasingly at life time gifts and assets. It gives the example of gifts that can arise on a transfer into joint names or where a joint owner receives the benefit of withdrawals from accounts funded wholly by the deceased. Dave Richards Managing Director of Legacy said, “The most common example is an estate where there are joint accounts held between a parent and one or more of their children. These accounts are often set up this way as a convenience so that the children can assist their parent with payment of bills and other services."

It is no fun dying intestate!!
In England and Wales it is no fun dying intestate for your heirs. If
you live in Bournemouth, you could get a will drawn up with
Steele Rose & Co for example.
This will allow you to distribute your estate in accordance with your
wishes.

Making a will in Bradford is straightforward!!
Making a will http://www.searchwill.co.uk/
is straightforward. If you were in Bradford for example, you could go to either
Trust Inheritance or J.A.G Legal Services.
I have never been to Bradford although I have driven through Leeds. I been briefly to other Yorkshire cities such as York, Skipton and Huddersfield. I once spent an afternoon in Barnsley. I once saw Doncaster beat Mansfield in a thrilling 4-3 game
at the old stadium.

Few people seem to believe in their own mortality.
Few people seem to believe in their own mortality, especially as far as England and Wales are concerned. It is imperative nowadays to write a will and then you can decide
where your assets will go. Being intestate could leave your family in the
lurch. If you live in Birmingham, you can go to firms such as
Trust Inheritance or
Sure Will Limited..
On the Birmingham football side of things, I have a soft spot for all of them, although I have seen Aston Villa the most with three times. Then, it is one each for West Bromwich and Birmingham City. It is a shame that City will be in the Coca Cola championship. It is going to be hard work for West Brom (the Baggies) in the Premiership. I remember seeing West Brom getting whipped by Watford at Vicarage Road but their fans were still giving their best. West Brom fans are first-rate.
