In these troubled times I think that people, who have'nt got one, should get a will. This will prevent them dying intestate and avoid the lengthy delays in sorting out the estate. You can get willwriters for your post code on www.searchwill.co.uk
For Colchester and surrounding areas they include Trust Inheritance, which offers a document storage facility. This is state of the art.
Colchester is the oldest town in the country and was an important garrison in Roman times.

Be prepared, make a will and don't die intestate.
People should be more prepared. I would certainly recommend making a will and this would avoid the situation of dying intestate. For instance, a firm such as Attwater and Liell could help. They offer services such as mirror wills and enduring powers of attorney.
The Harlow, Essex, based firm was originally founded in 1901. The wills and probate department of Attwater and Liell is located in Loughton.

We live in turbulent times so protection is vital.
If you live in or near Brentwood, Essex, there is the firm Affinity Wills to help write a will. We live in turbulent times so protection is vital. Without a will it can take up to two years to sort out an estate. http://www.searchwill.co.uk/. Affinity Wills is a national firm and has over 40,000 satisfied clients. It says that making a will gives peace of mind now and in the future.
The London stock market has produced some sharp downward moves this week and this has affected the assets of many people in the United Kingdom. Making a will protects these assets, even if they have been diminished.
In these troubled times it is vital to have a correctly-written will. The North Devon-based West Country Wills notes that 40,000 people lose their homes every year over long-term care costs because of the lack of a correctly-written will. The firm's contact is Barry Jenkinson. West Country Wills is part of Liberty Wills Ltd of West Yorkshire. The firm offers a free home visit.

What we should do in these troubled times.
Looking at the London stock market was something not for the faint hearted. Bank stocks such as Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) were really battered. I had to lie down as a result. Declaring an interest about UK bank stocks, I have got a few
HSBC shares. (Note for editor: I have since sold the HSBC shares at a loss since I got a real case of cold feet). I hope they go up. The British government has hinted that it will take equity stakes in the banks as part of a support operation. The hint has not helped shore up share prices.
In this blog I urge readers to get a will. This is quite straightforward. For instance, if you live in Coventry you can get a will drawn up with APS Legal and Associates
(www.Aps-legal.co.uk). The firm also offers advice on areas such as inheritance tax and financial tax planning (I think).
I am reading George Elliot's Middlemarch, which is a 19 century novel based on Coventry while Brassing is Birmingham.

Don't die intestate, make a will!!
Some people are wary about making a will, not wanting to confront their own mortality. If you live in Derby then you can get a will drawn up. I have only been to Derby once, which is the home of Rolls-Royce and Derby County. The football club has had a tough time since it was relegated from the Premiership but hopefully it is on the road to recovery.
